How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not result in an instruction: up to 12 months after our last substantive contact.

Core inspection and reporting records: normally 15 years after completion, where needed to document the service and address potential claims.

Invoices and accounting records: at least five years after the 31 January Self Assessment submission deadline for the relevant tax year.

We retain only information relevant to these purposes. Records may be kept longer where necessary for an ongoing complaint, claim or legal obligation.
